The Criminal Assets Bureau in Ireland confiscated the 12 accounts in what would have been its largest-ever seizure, but they are virtually worthless without the digital key, The Irish Times reports.

The drug dealer, 49-year-old Clifton Collins, in question cannot access the accounts either, as he hid the keys with a fishing rod which has since gone missing.

The €53.6 million value of the accounts, which the cannabis dealer accumulated over nearly a decade, has effectively been lost forever.
