And finally… a monster gaffe

A six-year-old boy has bought a £19,000 monster truck on eBay.

And finally... a monster gaffe

The boy’s father, Mohammad Faraji from North Tyneside was unaware that his son Ario had purchased the truck when browsing eBay on his laptop.

Mr Faraji was only made aware of his son’s purchase when he received a £19,000 bill for a truck that it appeared Ario had successfully bid for.

Mr Faraji said: “It’s unbelievable that Paypal would pay it without sending ay notification or contacting me to find out if I wanted to pay that amount of money. They didn’t keep it in payment pending or need any confirmation from me.”

He attempted to explain that the purchase was accidental but the seller didn’t want to cancel the sale and told Mr Faraji that he could come and collect the monster truck, The Evening Telegraph reports.

Paypal has said Mr Faraji should work with the seller or eBay to resolve the problem after Mr Faraji tried to have the transaction cancelled with eBay.

However, Paypal insists that he still owes the seller the money and hired a debt recovery firm to pursue him for the full amount of money.
