And finally… A fight at the opera

A lawyer has been fined more than £2,000 for punching a fashion designer in an argument over a front-row seat at the opera.

And finally... A fight at the opera

Richmond lawyer Matthew Feargrieve was found guilty in December of assaulting Ulrich Engler at least once while attending a performance of Wagner at the Royal Opera House on October 7, 2018.

The investment funds lawyer became violent with Mr Engler after the designer sat in an empty seat next to Mr Fearfrieve’s partner Catherine Chandler and moved her coat.

Mr Feargrieve was fined £900, ordered to pay £775 in costs, £500 in compensation and a £90 victim surcharge.
