And finally… 44-year itch

A person who was “feeling guilty” over a 44-year-old parking ticket has paid it anonymously.

The parking ticket was issued in 1974, before local police had the technology to track wayward vehicles.

The offender sent cash to cover the ticket, along with a note reading: “I’ve been carrying this ticket around for 40 plus years. Always intending to pay. Forgive me if I don’t give you my info. With respect, Dave.”

Police in Minersville, Pennsylvania, USA told WNEP-TV that “Dave” included $5 to cover the ticket, which was $2 at the time of issue.

Adjusted for inflation, the ticket would have been $20 today.
