Representatives of the firm visited Strathcarron on Friday to mark their achievement, a year after announcing the charity as the beneficiaries of their fundraising efforts for 2018.

Graeme Finnie, managing partner of French Duncan LLP, said: “When we first met with representatives from Strathcarron Hospice last year, we were astonished to learn that they needed to raise over £11,000 a day to keep services running.

“Through the hard work of our 200 staff at our five offices across Scotland we managed to pay for a day of care at Strathcarron Hospice and were delighted to come along for afternoon tea to meet the staff providing this vital care.”

Claire Macdonald, business development fundraiser at Strathcarron, said: “We are truly overwhelmed by this incredible donation from the staff at French Duncan following their various fundraising efforts last year. The money raised has helped to pay for one full day of care across all of our services and this is an incredible gift to our patients and their families.

“In 2019, we now need to raise an additional £1,900 a day to keep our services running. This is a big ask and is only possible thanks to the continued support of our local community.”
