ABGI UK opens Newcastle office

Edinburgh-based innovation advisors ABGI UK have announced a significant business expansion across its UK operations with a raft of new appointments and investment into two new office premises.

The firm is creating 20 new jobs, including nine in Newcastle where they’ve opened a new regional office. The Newcastle premises, located in Citibase on Market Street, becomes ABGI’s fifth UK office. Along with Edinburgh and London, the company also has premises in Manchester and Birmingham.

Initially operating remotely, when COVID-19 restrictions are due to be lifted on December 2 the team of nine new Innovation Funding Advisers (IFAs) will base themselves from the Newcastle office covering clients from across the North East of England.



A further 10 IFAs, including a new team leader, have also been recruited at ABGI’s Edinburgh headquarters. Meanwhile, two new technical analysts join in London where the company has moved into a new, larger premises in Broad Street in one of the city’s key financial districts.

This additional investment will ensure we are well-placed to advise more companies and help them secure these support measures.”
